Veterinarians

Dr. Arthur Ghitea

Dr. Arthur Ghitea

Veterinarian

Dr. Ghitea graduated from the University of California, Riverside, in 1995 and then from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. He purchased the clinic in 2006. Arthur, his wife, daughter, and son share their home with a Bengal named Romeo. In his free time, he enjoys reading and riding his motorcycle.

Dr. Danielle Hughson

Dr. Danielle Hughson

Veterinarian

Dr. Hughson attributes her interest in veterinary medicine to growing up on a pig farm in NE Iowa. She attended Iowa State for an undergraduate degree in Animal Science and then moved to Massachusetts to receive her veterinary education at Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine. She moved to Oregon in 2006, worked at a mixed animal practice for two years and now concentrates on small animal medicine. She and her husband Michael have three energetic boys together. When not busy with work or engaged in family time, Dr. Hughson enjoys hiking, reading, baking, and photography.

Dr. Naomi Sakaguchi

Dr. Naomi Sakaguchi

Veterinarian

Dr. Sakaguchi graduated from Oregon State University with an HBS in Animal Science and Chemistry, then continued on to attended OSU’s Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine for her DVM. She is an Oregon native who has been working with the doctors at Tualatin Animal Clinic since she was a high school intern. She is looking forward to getting to know new clients and their pets. In her free time, Dr. Sakaguchi likes to spend time with her two orange tabby cats, riding horses, and pursuing her interest in photography.

Dr. Tiffany Smith

Dr. Tiffany Smith

Veterinarian

Dr. Tiffany Smith earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University.

During veterinary school, Dr. Smith pursued advanced ultrasound training, and she looks forward to continuing to expand her skills in general practice.

Her journey to becoming a veterinarian stemmed from a desire to help both animals and people. Growing up in a small town, Dr. Smith saw firsthand how essential veterinarians are to a community and knew she wanted to be a part of that group of caregivers.

Outside of work, Dr. Smith enjoys exploring the outdoors, hiking, reading, and spending time with her two cats.

Sarah is a certified veterinary technician who has been with Tualatin Animal Clinic for over 20 years. In her free time, Sarah enjoys working on her property and spending time in the outdoors, with her cats and her great big Brazilian mastiff.

Veterinary Assistant

Anastasia comes from right here in Oregon. While working here at Tualatin animal clinic, Anastasia is also studying at PCC to become a certified veterinary technician. Anastasia and her wife Raia have 3 cats and a golden retriever/cocker mix.

Amanda comes from California originally and enjoys Music, Reading and spending time with her 15-month-old baby. Amanda has been working in the veterinary world for more than 3 years and has experience with exotic animals.

Certified Veterinary Assistant

Nicole was born and raised in Oregon and likes to spend her free time with her family and hiking. Nicole started out pet sitting and studied to become a certified veterinary assistant.

Veterinary Assistant

Edan is from Portland OR. Edan recently completed his associate’s science degree and is continuing his education towards becoming a DVM. In his free time Edan has interests in Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu and working on his family’s backyard farm.

Assistant Manager

Courtney grew up in Thailand and has traveled all over the world. She came to us with more than 15 years of experience working with animals. She has worked as a veterinary technician, worked with a wild animal rescue, and managed a small farm. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, scuba diving, and spending time with her two kids.

Manager and Lead Technician

Randy is originally from southern Oregon. She attended Pima medical institute and comes to Tualatin Animal Clinic with over 20 years of veterinary experience. Randy enjoys spending her free time in the outdoors, beach, and rivers, snowboarding, and spending time with her family.

Joslyn

CSR

Joslyn is originally from Michigan but was raised right here in Portland, Oregon. Joslyn has just started her career in veterinary medicine but has a long history in animal care from having always owned a pet, working as a pet sitter from a young age and working at a pet boarding facility. In her free time, Joslyn enjoys cooking, baking, and taking care of pets.

Amanda

Amanda comes to Tualatin Animal Clinic from Southern California. Amanda has 5 years of veterinary experience in both ER and specialty clinics but prefers the general practice environment where she can get to know both the pets and their owners. Amanda shares her home with her 2 cats: Naku, who is 19 years old, and her newest addition Olive, a 2-year-old rescue.

Natasha is Originally from Lebanon OR, in her free time she enjoys reading, scrapbooking and spending time with her 2 cats. Natasha came to us with experience working in cat rescue.
